All Insurance cards have a policy number. When anyone get a insurance policy, that policy has a number on the card, it is often marked “Policy ID” or “Policy No.” The insurance company uses this number to keep track of your bills and claims. And also insurance policy number on card shows that which group, class or category has been purchased. Insurance cards policy number is like a barcode number where keeps the customer data.

·     The first 4 digits are the identifier of the group.
·     The next 9 digits are your policy number.
·     Below are 2 digits that indicate the beneficiary number of  your policy. For example, 01 if  you are         the first beneficiary of your policy, 02 if you are the second beneficiary, and so on. There are                   policies that only admit on  others that admit several.
·     The next 2 digits refer to the Delegation to which your policy belongs to. Some health cards do not         include this information and the space corresponding to these 2 digits is blank.
·     Finally, there is 1 digit that indicates the version of your card: that is, the number of times it has             been issued to you. For example, a 3 means your card has been stamped 3  times.                                     Remember that the moment you request a duplicate of your health card, the previous version is               automatically deactivated.
